5 Minute Snickers Porridge
Total time 5 minutes | Serves 1 | Vegan
Ingredients
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 1/3 cup milk of choice
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon protein powder (optional)
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
1 ripe banana, mashed
Pinch of salt
Method
Place all ingredients into a saucepan and cook on low-medium heat for approximately 5 minutes or until it reaches your preferred consistency.
Serve with your choice of toppings (e.g. chia seeds, fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, seeds), and an extra drizzle of peanut butter.
Note: feel free to prepare this recipe as overnight oats by combining all ingredients in a bowl/container and refrigerating overnight. This will ensure the oats become thick and creamy, making it a great grab-and-go breakfast option.
